Our Mission

Brentandmike
At Gibbons Planning Group (GPG), we believe great planning begins with genuine passion, thoughtful collaboration, and a deep commitment to the communities we serve. Founded by brothers Brenton and Michael Gibbons—both proud alumni of Cal Poly San Luis Obispo—GPG is the realization of a lifelong dream to create a planning firm rooted in integrity, creativity, and purpose.

As a sibling-owned firm with over 20 years of combined experience in project management, long-range planning, and day-to-day municipal operations, we bring a well-rounded, dual-perspective approach to every project. Our background as urban planners for both cities and counties gives us a unique ability to understand the needs of public agencies—seeing both sides of the counter and delivering practical, responsive solutions.

Our award-winning work is guided by the belief that planning is more than policy—it’s about building lasting relationships, enhancing quality of life, and creating legacies that reflect each community’s values. We approach every project with a commitment to equity, sustainability, and innovation, honoring the past while embracing the future.
Let’s plan something meaningful together.
